The Annapurna Sanctuary is a natural amphitheatre formed by the giant Annapurna massif, with its gate being the deep gorge between the Hiunchuli and Machapuchare peaks. The views are, needless to say, breathtaking.
The sanctuary denotes the headwaters of the Modi Khola, along which the trail is defined. The trail passes through a changing landscape of rice fields, misty forests and ethnic villages like those of the Gurung and Magar.
We call this the Highest Trek in the World, going to extreme altitude taking you as close to the summit of Everest as any nonclimber can go. You must be fit and tough, we camp in difficult conditions. Even being fit, there is still a chance of altitude sickness affecting you meaning that you may have to return to Everest Base camp and wait until the other trekkers return.
The very name “Everest” draws wide attention. But the world’s highest mountains, their glaciers and moraine are not the only features in this unique National Park. The Solu-Khumbu region is also home to the famous Sherpa people and their ancient culture and religion. The chance of seeing rare flora and fauna is also high.

This epic mountain biking adventure across ‘the Roof of the World’ covers a distance over 1100km from the Tibetan capital Lhasa to Kathmandu in the heart of Nepal, crossing six high passes over 5000m.
To make this trip even more adventurous, we have incorporated a four-day round trip away from the main Lhasa - Kathmandu road, to visit Rongbuk Monastery and the north base camp of Mt. Everest.

We will also go on a short but exciting rafting trip down the Trisuli river.
Lhasa, the heart and soul of Tibet and an object of devout pilgrimage, is still a city of wonders. The Potala Palace, a vast white and ochre fortress, dominates the Lhasa skyline.
Once the seat of Tibetan government and the location of the tombs of previous Dalai Lamas, the Potala Palace serves as a symbolic focus for Tibetan aspirations. Today though, it is the Jokhang temple, 2km to the east, which is the spiritual heart of the city. The medieval push and shove of crowds, the street performers, the stalls hawking everything from prayer flags to jewel-encrusted yak skulls, and the devout tapping their foreheads to the ground at every step is an exotic brew that few newcomers can resist.
After Lhasa, we’ll tour through this amazing country. In the towns of Gyantse and Shigatse we will explore further monasteries and fully immerse ourselves in the Buddhist culture.

Bhutan, known as the Land of the Thunder Dragon, is almost of fairytale quality. The country is unlike any other - completely extraordinary. It is engrossed in myths and hidden within a protective mountain chain from China and India.
“Druk Yul” or Land of the Thunder Dragon - named in 1907, by then King Wangchuck, from an auspicious occassion in 1189, when a mythical dragon thundered 3 times - and a teacher of Buddhism opened a monastery (Druk Ralung) and predicted his teachings would flourish to the extent the thunder was heard.
