Ruan Khun Yai in Thai means the “Home of Grand Ma”. It is actually the home of a Thai family located on the bank of a canal in Bangkok’s western suburbs. It is an old wooden Thai house with a cozy balcony overlooking the scenic Chak Phra Canal and can accommodate up to 6 guests. Visitors can enjoy the Thai way of life and at the same time learn the secrets of Thai cooking, with a flexible menu depending on guests’ interests.

This trip incorporates an introductory course to the basics of meditation as practiced in Thailand together with an opportunity to experience a traditional massage at one of its primary centers of learning.
The ingredients consist of some hours of learning the Thai language, visiting markets to practice our language skills in real situations, sightseeing of the city, a campus tour with local students, a canal cruise and finally Thai cooking with local family.
