From Istanbul we travel to the Gallipoli Peninsula, to visit the battlefields and war memorials. We then head to Ephesus, a brilliant Greco-Roman site packed with ancient temples and sprawling ruins. Marvel at the vast amphitheatre where St Paul once preached and stroll the marble streets where Antony and Cleopatra once dallied! From the crumbling treasures of bygone eras, we head to the delights of the Turkish coastline and spend a number of days exploring the beaches, coves and cliffs. A fabulous cruise through blissful surroundings allows us to relax and unwind onboard, swim in the warm waters and get out on foot to discover coastal villages and archaeological sites. Gorgeous Antalya, a picturesque city perched on a steep cliff, is our final destination and the perfect place to find secret treasures amid narrow winding streets.

Our trek begins a short drive away from Pokhara at Naya Phul. The walking is at a relaxed pace and we reach our lodge every day in time for lunch, leaving the afternoon free to relax or experience the local village life. After the trek we explore the lakeside around Pokhara and then travel to Royal Chitwan National Park to enjoy elephant back safaris, canoe trips and jungle walks. There is a variety of wildlife that inhabits the park including over 300 species of birds, deer, crocodile, rhino, leopard and just possibly tiger! We even have a chance to bathe with elephants. This journey showcases the stunning beauty and great diversity of Nepal.

The first stop on this fantastic adventure is China’s most famous landmark - the Great Wall. We travel to a quiet section of the wall and walk along this mighty fortification, which stretches for miles towards the horizon.

Back in Beijing we explore the Forbidden City and also what as the local kids do - fly kites in Tiananmen Square. Travelling south by train, we visit the Terracotta Warriors of Xian. Buried for 2,000 years, each one has a different costume, height and even facial expression! The spectacular limestone karsts of Yangshuo are best explored by bike; we cycle amongst lush paddy fields, before stopping for lunch at a local family’s home. After cruising down the Li River, we board a ferry bound for the shimmering skyscrapers and bright lights of Hong Kong.

This voyage is Peregrine’s most complete and varied Antarctic adventure. It promises an in-depth and unforgettable experience to the bottom of the world travelling to the extraordinary Falkland Islands and diverse sub-Antarctic islands before sailing further south to the remarkable Antarctic Peninsula area.

Our first stop is the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic Ocean. This far-flung group of islands lies north of the Antarctic Convergence and enjoys a relatively warmer climate than our other destinations. As a result, the mainly uninhabited Falklands support unique wildlife not found further south, including sixty species of migratory birds as well as the rare rockhopper penguin.

High above the Arctic Circle lies the remarkable archipelago of islands known as Svalbard. Far to the north of Norway’s mainland, these Norwegian islands span an area of about 62,000 square kilometres, about the same size as Ireland or Tasmania.

Our voyage aboard the comfortable Peregrine Voyager begins at the largest of all the Svalbard islands. Known as Spitsbergen, the west side of the island feels the comparative warmth of the North Atlantic current and spends half of the year, including the time of our visit, clear of ice. The fjords along the west and north coasts are often teeming with extraordinary wildlife from the walrus to the great polar bear, and promise dazzling Arctic scenery.

The High Arctic Explorer is truly a voyage of adventure and discovery. We will sail out and have some fun investigating the area that challenged the famous explorers of the past. This beautiful but extreme environment is still remote and wild, and to get the best out of it, we will relax and ‘go with the floe’. Travel in this region relies on understanding sea ice, and as many explorers before us have found, is truly a ‘moveable feast’.
