From Delhi, you will take an overnight train to Shimla – the British-developed beautiful Hill Resort. From there, begins the classical jeep safari adventure to one of the remotest regions of Himachal Pradesh, via Kinnaur & Spiti valley in the western Himalayan region.
You will drive on world’s 2nd highest motorable road while traveling to Leh.
When in Leh, you will visit some of the most important monasteries. The tour will provide you ample opportunities to visit remote valleys, villages and crossing over high mountain passes providing spectacular views of snow capped peaks, rugged terrain and ancient monasteries.

Itinerary
Day 01 / Arrive Delhi – Kalka (night train)
Meet our representative at the airport on arrival and evening transfer to the train station to board on train leaving 2220 hour from Old Delhi Railways Station and arriving 455 hour next morning at Kalka.
Day 02 / Kalka – Shimla
Arrive 0455 hour at Kalka, on arrival transfer to toy train to Shimla leaving 0530 hour and arriving 1015 hour. Upon arrival in Shimla, transfer to hotel. After refreshments, take a stroll in the Mall Road. The road is the heart of tourist activity with rows of shops for thing varying from bakery products to clothes, leather goods to old books and various bars and restaurants serving all variety of food: Indian, Chinese, Punjabi, etc. The place is always bustling with people especially in the evenings. From Cart Road you will have to take a lift ride to get to the mall. The Mall meets the Ridge, an open area with beautiful views of the mountain ranges and lots of eating joints, horse rides etc. There is also the Christ Church , a symbol of older times with some elegant frescoes and beautifully stained windows on the ridge and a library. There is also the romantic rendezvous, Scandal Point.
Day 03 / Shimla sightseeing
Morning visit Indian Institute of Advanced Studies built in 1888. Situated on a hillock, this was formally the palace of the British Viceroy. Once the seat of the power, it possesses one of the most commanding positions in Shimla. The imposing six storied building, with nice manicured gardens is today an institute for advanced studies. The style of architecture is English Renaissance, the masonry of the walling is light blue limestone and the wrought stone work is done in sandstone in a beautiful light gray tint. Continue the tour to Jakhoo Temple that lies little more than 1 miles from the Ridge. Jakhoo Temple is dedicated to the monkey god Hanuman, whose form is much in evidence. This is a spot that interests the tourists a in a great amount. The children enjoy throwing biscuits and grams to the chattering monkey folks dwelling here in great number. Return to the hotel or stroll around the Mall and the Ridge.
Day 04 / Shimla – Sarahan (177km, 7 hrs)
Drive to Sarahan, en route visiting Sun temple at Nirath and Padum Palace at Rampur . On arrival check in at hotel. Evening visit Bhimakali temple.
Day 05 / Sarahan – Sangla (181 miles, 8 hrs)
Travel by surface from Sarahan to Sangla valley. Visit remote villages of Rackcham and Chitkul villages. On arrival in Sangla check in and overnight at camp.
Day 06 / Sangla – Kalpa (52km, 2 hrs)
Morning visit Kamru village and fort. Later travel by surface from Sangla to Kalpa located in backdrop of Kinner Kailash mountain range. Evening free to explore Kalpa village.
Day 07 / Kalpa – Tabo (170km, 8 hrs)
Travel by surface from Kalpa to Tabo en route visiting Nako village beautifully located on banks of a small lake. On arrival in Tabo check in and overnight at guest house.
Day 08 / Tabo – Kaza (49km, 5 hrs)
Morning visit Tabo monastery. Later travel to Kaza en route visiting Lalung and Dhankar Gompa. On arrival in Kaza check in at guest house.
Day 09 / Sightseeing of Kaza and environs.
Morning visit the Ki monastery, 7 1/2 miles from Kaza. This centuries old gompa is a labyrinth of rooms and corridors – and at one time also acted as a fort. It houses valuable Thangkas and offers a panoramic view of the area. Also visit the small gompa at Kibber, 9 kms further ahead. Kibber at 4205 m/13,792 ft has the distinction of being the highest permanently inhabited village of the region.
Day 10 / Kaza – Keylong (200km, 10 hrs)
Travel from Kaza to Keylong driving over Kunzam Pass (4558m) which provides beautiful views of CB ranges. En route visit several villages of Spiti and Lahaul valley. On arrival check in at hotel.
Day 11 / Keylong – Sarchu (73 miles, 6 hrs)
Travel by surface from Keylong to Sarchu over Baralachala Pass (4800m). On arrival check in at camp. Evening free to walk around in Sarchu. Overnight in camp.
Day 12 / Sarchu – Leh (118km, 10 hrs)
Travel by surface from Sarchu to Leh over Lachang La (5065m) and Tanglang La (5360m).Tanglang La is the second highest motorable road in the world. Both the passes have stunning views. On arrival check-in at hotel. Take rest for the day.
Day 13 / Sightseeing of Spituk and Phyang Monasteries, Leh town and environs
Morning half day tour of Spituk and Phyang Monastery.
Day 14 / Sightseeing of Shey Palace, Thiksey and Hemis Monasteries.
After breakfast drive for full day sight seeing of Shey Palace, Hemis monastery and Stok Palace Museum. Leave after breakfast for full day visit of Hemis, Shey and Stok Palace.
Day 15 / Leh – Delhi – onward departure
Morning transfer to airport to board flight for home via Delhi.
