I recently switched my email autoresponder service from Constant Contact to Aweber Communications.

Just one simple reason for doing so – Aweber meets a more stringent anti-spam criteria so my emails from Aweber (white-listed) get delivered whereas my emails through Constant Contact constantly (sic) gets canned (black-listed).
I found out the popular ‘Forward to a Friend’ feature in use by many email autoresponders is considered a spam feature under CAN-SPAM’s new rules.
My subscriber-list shrank from 4,600 to 600+ because of Aweber’s double opt-in criteria but I think this is a good thing. I’m now rebuilding my list knowing the members of my new list do want to receive my occasional email featuring news, announcements, promotional offers and special departures.
If you haven’t done so yet, I invite you to subscribe now.

Yes, when it comes to email marketing, the quantity is not everything. Quality matters more. It’s better to have list of 100 subscribers who are responsive, instead of 10000 who are not!
