Itinerary
Day 01 / Arrive Casablanca
Arrive in Casablanca at any time.
Day 02 / Rabat - Meknes - Volubilis (B)
Travel to Rabat for a city tour of the Mohamed V mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, the exteriors of the Royal Palace and the Chellah Gardens. Continue to the Roman ruins of Volubilis before travelling to Meknes to see the Granaries and the Moulay Ismael stables and the magnificent Bab Mansour.
Day 03 / Fez (B)
Enjoy a tour of Morocco’s capital city and explore the exteriors of the Royal Palace and the fascinating maze of alleyways in the medina (old city). Discover its various quarters for tanneries, dyers, leatherwork, brass, gold and silver, and don’t forget the Medersa Bou Inania.
Day 04 / Erfoud - Merzouga (B,D)
Journey over the Middle Atlas mountains, passed its cedar forests and through the ski station of Ifrane into the desert regions. Continue through the vast palm groves of the Ziz Valley and the majestic sand dunes - all in one day!
Day 05 / Todgha Gorges - Tinghir - Boumalne (B,D)
Embrace the rising sun from the highest sand dunes in Morocco. Journey through a stone desert to the superb Todgha Gorges and visit the Tineghir palm grove. We conclude our unforgettable day in Boumalne du Dades for a well deserved rest and dinner.
Day 06 / Dades Gorges - Ouazazate - Ait Ben Haddou (B,D)
Visit the impressive Dades Gorges and follow the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs” into the verdant Dades Valley en route to Ouarzazate, for a visit of the Taourirt Kasbah. Enjoy an optional visit to the film studios (if no production is going on. Travel to the village of Ait Ben Haddou to explore the famous Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 07 / Marrakech (B)
Head through the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2200m in the High Atlas mountains, with breathtaking views over the highest peaks of Morocco. Experience the extensive and crowded souks and the famous Jemaa El Fna Square with its acrobats, fortune tellers, story tellers and snake charmers.
Day 08 / Marrakech (B/D)
Enjoy a tour of this historic city and explore Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the Koutoubia Minaret. In the afternoon, take an optional visit to the Terre des Jeunes Marrakech project or stroll around the bustling markets for last minute treasures.
