Day 01 / Arrive Hanoi
On arrival in Hanoi, meet and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the city on our own. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 02 / Hanoi
Today’s full day city tour is of the charming capital city of Hanoi with its ochre-coloured colonial style buildings, tree-lined avenues and many lakes. Set out on a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an imposing monument made of generous amount of marble and granite. This is where the preserved body of “Uncle Ho†lies in state, continuing on, visit the One Pillar Pagoda shaped in the form of a lotus flower, emerging from the water and resting on a single stone pillar. It contains a statue of the Goddess of Mercy with its legendary “thousand arms and a thousand eyesâ€Â. Wind your way to the Temple of Literature to have an overview about Hanoi culture and history. Afternoon, visit to the very beautiful Museum of Ethnology to enhance your understanding of Vietnam’s diverse culture through its unique presentation of objects & attire from a variety of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. Highlight your trip with another cultural aspect – art, at Art Vietnam gallery owned by an American Art Consultant. This evening attend a traditional water puppet show, a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form especially designed for depicting scenes from rural life and many episodes of national history.
Day 03 / Hanoi
Around 0900am, meet with a famed local chef of Hanoi. This 60-year-old woman has inherited a special cooking skill from her mother who used to be the chef of the French Ambassador to Hanoi in the 1950s. Embark on an interesting market tour with the chef at a local market to enjoy the bustling atmosphere of local daily life at Hang Be market, opportunities to learn how to choose the fresh ingredients. After buying the goods, be taken to her own cooking venue for a private codemonstration. Lunch with what you have prepared. Afternoon is free at leisure for wandering in the Hanoi old quarter. Day 04 / Depart Hanoi
The morning is free until the transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for our departure flight.
