Day 01 / Arrive Bangkok
On arrival in Bangkok, own transfer the hotel and contact our office for briefing of our tour. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 02 / Bangkok - Mahachai - Damnoen Saduak (B/-/D)
Early morning transfer from hotel to Wongwienyai Train Station to embark on a one-hour journey by local train to Mahachai market. This riverside port, just a few kilometres from the Gulf of Thailand, bustles with activity handling a huge variety of fresh fish and seafood. Cross the river for another one-hour train ride through paddy fields and villages to Mae Klong. After visiting the market take a boat ride along Mae Klong River to visit the local temples and community and learn about their way of life and its ties to the river. If the tide permits, more stops can be made at the fishing village of Don Hoi Lod located near a mangrove forest, home to many species of seabirds. Arrive the village of floating market and meet the host of our homestay. Enjoy an evening walk around the village. Help a local family prepare dinner and spend a night in their family home.
Day 03 / Return to Bangkok (B/-/-)
An opportunity to give food to local monks making their morning alms by boat. After breakfast take a morning boat ride on the Mae Klong River to the local vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, and a floating market to see the local people trading and exchanging goods. Return to Bangkok by public air-conditioned bus. Drop off at the bus station. End of services.
