Day 01 / Arrive Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu at any time.

Days 02-05 / Lhasa
Explore the centre of the Tibetan world - a fascinating blend of temples and pilgrims, ancient and modern.

Days 06-08 / via Yamdrok Tso to Gyantse
Jump on your bike and tackle the long, tough yet scenic days that lead you across the Khamba La and Kora La (passes), along the shores of Yamdrok Tso (Lake).

Day 09 / Gyantse
Cross the Simi La (4330m), then it’s a relatively gentle descent into Gyantse – in some seasons the valley floor is a blaze of brilliant yellow rape flowers.

Days 10-11 / Shigatse
It is a relatively easy ride to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest town, and the seat of the Panchen Lama who ranks second in importance to the Dalai Lama.

Days 12-14 / Lhatse & Shegar
Back on the road, the route leads across the Yulung La (4950m) and the Gyatso La (5220m), the highest point of the ride.

Days 15-16 / Rombuk & Everest Base Camp
Turn off the Friendship Highway for a stunning ride through Qomolangma Nature Preserve to the top of the 5200m Pang-La (pass) for a superb panoramic view. Then its a downhill stretch to Tashidzom. The view from here is utterly spectacular! It is then 7 kilometers to Base Camp at 5200m.

Day 17 / Lao Tingri
Back to the Friendship highway.

Days 18 & 19 / Nyalam
Spectacular views of the roof of the world and the edge of the Tibetan Plateau.

Day 20 / Last Resort
Descend into a lusher, greener realm - and indulge in a well-deserved rest at our luxury tented resort.

Day 21 / Kathmandu
The historic cities of the Kathmandu Valley reveal a vibrant world of colour and life. The markets, bazaars and narrow streets are home to holy men, sacred cows, bicycles, street sellers.

Day 22 / Depart Kathmandu
